eCG helps Hong Kong SMEs accelerate digital transformation through AI-powered apps, agents, and workflow solutions. Within this offer, EASY BUD acts as an entry package for SME customers, while SINGLE is positioned as the business owner's AI intelligence layer across operations, communication flow, knowledge, and business processes.

Role summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new SME business opportunities for eCG in Hong Kong. The role focuses on selling practical digital transformation solutions through the EASY BUD entry offer and positioning SINGLE, eCG apps, and eCG agents as business tools that create measurable value for SME owners and managers.

This role owns the front end of the customer journey, from lead generation and qualification through proposal development, funding-fit discussion, negotiation, contract signing, and structured handover into implementation.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect suitable Hong Kong SME customers through outbound outreach, referrals, partnerships, events, campaigns, and direct business development.
  • Qualify prospects based on business fit, urgency, budget, operational pain points, and suitability for EASY BUD or related transformation packages.
  • Present eCG's solutions in a commercially clear way, including how SINGLE, AI agents, apps, and workflow tools can support SME growth, efficiency, and execution.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from first meeting to proposal, objection handling, negotiation, close, and customer onboarding handover.
  • Build a healthy and disciplined sales pipeline, maintain CRM records, update forecasts, and manage follow-up actions with consistency.
  • Work with delivery and solution teams to scope suitable first projects that can be implemented effectively and repeatedly.
  • Support customer understanding of grant-fit opportunities and practical implementation pathways where relevant.
  • Contribute market feedback and customer insights to improve eCG's product packaging, messaging, and go-to-market approach.

Key performance indicators

  • Number of qualified opportunities generated.
  • Number of EASY BUD or equivalent projects signed.
  • Monthly and quarterly new-customer count.
  • Proposal-to-close conversion rate.
  • Revenue booked from signed customers.
  • Customer acquisition cost efficiency.
  • Quality of handover into the implementation team.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, technology, or a related discipline preferred.
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in business development, B2B sales, solution sales, SaaS sales, consulting sales, or SME-focused commercial roles.
  • Proven ability to generate pipeline and close new business consistently.
  • Strong commercial communication and presentation skills, especially with SME owners, directors, and operational decision-makers.
  • Ability to understand customer pain points and connect them to practical business solutions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, target-driven, and evolving environment.
  • Experience with CRM systems and structured pipeline management.
  • Fluency in Cantonese and English required; Mandarin is an advantage.

Preferred attributes

  • Experience selling digital solutions, transformation services, AI tools, software, or workflow systems.
  • Familiarity with Hong Kong SME grant-related selling contexts.
  • Confidence in consultative selling rather than product-only selling.
  • Strong sense of ownership, responsiveness, and commercial discipline.

Pay: $16,707.54 - $60,000.00 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Hong Kong
