Job Responsibilities
- Oversee all QS and contractual matters related to project execution including progress claims, payment certificates, variation orders and final accounts
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, quantity take-offs and cost comparison analysis
- Monitor project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets and specifications
- Manage tender processes including preparation and evaluation of tender documents
- Administer contractual claims including variation orders, extension of time (EOT) and loss & expense claims
- Liaise and negotiate with contractors, consultants and suppliers
- Maintain proper contractual documentation and project records
- Attend site meetings, conduct site valuations and prepare progress reports
- Support management in cost planning and financial reporting
Job Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in property development or construction industry
- Strong knowledge in contract administration, cost control, variation orders and tender management
- Experience handling mixed development or commercial projects will be an added advantage
- Able to work independently, analytical and detail-oriented
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Able to travel to project sites when required
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant QS software
- Able to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients and contractors)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
