About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Security professional to join our team at Borneo Hotel (Sarawak) Sdn. Bhd. in Kuching, Sarawak. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our hotel guests, staff, and property. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing organisation.

What you'll be doing

1. Patrolling the hotel premises and monitoring security cameras to identify and respond to any suspicious activities or potential threats

2. Controlling access to the hotel by checking the identification of visitors and guests

3. Responding to emergencies and incidents, and liaising with the relevant authorities as necessary

4. Maintaining a detailed log of all security-related activities and incidents

5. Assisting with the implementation and enforcement of the hotel's security policies and procedures

6. Providing a friendly and professional presence to ensure our guests feel safe and secure during their stay

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 1 year of experience in a security or related role, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry

2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests and staff professionally and courteously

3. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to respond to emergencies calmly and effectively

4. Familiarity with security systems and procedures, including the use of security cameras and access control systems

5. The ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required
