A. Responsibilities & Authorities

1. Develop and manage production schedules based on product specifications, equipment efficiency, and material availability to meet customer requirements.

2. Manage and evaluate machine resources to ensure optimum productivity and minimal downtime.

3. Establish, implement, and continuously improve workflow policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production operations.

4. Monitor and control inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials, Work-in-Progress (WIP), Finished Goods (FG), and other production support items to ensure smooth production scheduling.

5. Prepare production budgeting, including capacity planning and manpower planning, based on sales forecasts.

6. Analyze production process flow issues and identify solutions to eliminate bottlenecks and improve operational efficiency.

7. Lead, manage, and optimize resource utilization through effective production planning, process control, and operational management.

8. Coordinate routine maintenance and repair activities for production equipment to ensure operational reliability.

9. Monitor, evaluate, and review staff performance, and implement necessary training or improvement initiatives.

10. Ensure full compliance with Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) policies and programs within the workplace.

11. Conduct monthly cycle counts for raw materials, Work-in-Progress (WIP), and Finished Goods (FG).

B. Requirements & Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related disciplines.

2. Minimum 10 years of experience in a managerial role.

3. Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing and production operations.

4. Experience in Lean Manufacturing is preferred.

5. Experience in fiber or polymer manufacturing is an added advantage.

6. Good knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.

7. Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

8. Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred to communicate effectively with management and staff from China.

Responsible for overseeing all Production Teams, including:

1. Coagulation

2. PVA Dissolving

3. Spinning & Drying

4. Finished Goods

D. Job Competencies

1. Proficient in computer applications, especially Microsoft Office.

2. Strong reporting, coordination, and supervisory skills.

3. Good understanding of raw material specifications.

4. Good understanding of process parameter requirements.

5. Understanding of how work activities impact the environment.

6. Awareness and responsibility towards Environmental Management System (EMS) compliance.

7. Understanding the implications of non-compliance with EMS requirements.
