Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES (SUMMARY)
Support and assist the Associate Director of Corporate Communications in coordinating and executing departmental objectives in line with approved plans and strategies.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS
A. Internal and External Communication
1. Assist in developing and executing Company's communications, engagement and branding related activities in a timely and effective manner, to create and enhance a positive brand image of the Company amongst all stakeholders, regulators and Government.
2. Execute communication of key messages on Company through various media platforms such as print, electronic and online.
3. Assist in promoting Company's achievements, activities and events of significance and impact.
4. Assist in expanding the general visibility of Company amongst the stakeholders, regulators and Government.
5. Any other duties as assigned
B. Social Media and Digital Assets Management
1. Assist in content preparation and all written materials for social media and digital assets to ensure quality of content to enhance brand reputation.
2. Ensure timely and accurate postings of Company's latest news and special announcements on all social media and digital assets.
3. Participate in conducting cybersecurity assessment with IT on social media and digital assets.
4. Any other duties as assigned
C. Media and Management
1. Participate in planning, implementing and managing Company's media campaign to ensure optimal publicity on Company's events/initiatives through various media channels i.e., print, electronic and online.
2. Produce and proof-read written materials to be issued to media, such as press releases, speeches and fact sheets, to ensure consistency and accuracy.
3. Assist in managing requests for interviews or enquiries from the media/ publishing houses.
4. Assist in organization of press conferences and media briefings for the Company.
5. Any other duties as assigned
D. Branding, Advertising & Promotions
1. Assist in executing external communications, events, advertising and promotions of the Company.
2. Execute branding and content strategy in line with Company’s brand positioning.
3. Execute based on advice of Manager and Associate Director on the best platform for external communications activities relating to events, advertising and promotions of the Company.
4. Coordinate production of branding collaterals such as brochures, buntings and banners, and other promotional materials etc.
5. Any other duties as assigned
E. Stakeholders Management
1. Build, maintain and enhance relationships with key stakeholders.
2. Ensure on-going coordination, communication and support towards driving the Bumiputera Agenda.
3. Plan and coordinate initiatives and activities outlined.
4. Represent the Company at relevant meetings and events when required.
5. Any other duties as assigned
F. Reputation and Crisis Management
1. Monitor Company-related news daily and compile it for dissemination to the Management, paying special attention to any issues that may trigger or develop into a crisis or reputational risk.
2. Manage media queries and prepare media statement(s) as and when required.
3. Always establish and maintain good rapport with members of the media.
4. Any other duties as assigned
G. Other Duties
1. Contribute in ‘pool duties’ such as minute taking and preparation for Corporate Services when requested.
2. Any other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Advertising/Media, Mass Communications, journalism, marketing, business or a related discipline from recognised universities/institutions.
Minimum 3 years working experience preferably in a corporate environment.
Excellent writing in both Bahasa Malaysia and English communication for internal and external communications, including press releases, speeches, letters, branding and advertising materials.
Ability to grasp and understand different subject matters and conduct effective research for writing meaningful and compelling content.
Possess good organizational and time management skills.
