Job Summary
The On-Site Service - Test Electronic Engineer is responsible for providing on-site technical support, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electronic systems and equipment at customer locations. This role requires strong hands-on expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to work independently while supporting junior engineers and coordinating with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical & Site Support
- Perform on-site testing, troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning of electronic systems, equipment, and test solutions.
- Diagnose complex hardware, circuit, and system-level failures and provide effective corrective actions.
- Conduct system validation, calibration, and functional testing according to specifications and standards.
- Support installation, setup, and acceptance testing at customer sites.
2. Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and guide junior engineers and technicians during site service activities.
- Act as the main technical point of contact between customers, internal engineering teams, and management.
- Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to team members and customers when required.
3. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare detailed service reports, test results, failure analysis reports, and corrective action documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, spare parts usage, and test data.
- Provide feedback to R&D or production teams for product improvement.
4. Customer & Compliance
- Communicate professionally with customers to explain technical issues, solutions, and recommendations.
- Ensure all site service work complies with safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures.
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance requirements when required.
RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electronic testing, troubleshooting, or site service support.
- Proven experience handling on-site service or customer-facing technical roles.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, power electronics, control systems, and test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, etc.).
- Experience with system-level testing, fault diagnosis, and root cause analysis.
- Familiar with test procedures, documentation, and quality standards.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willing to travel and work on-site as required.
Working Conditions
- Site-based and field service role with travel to customer locations.
