Project Manager (Sewage / Water Treatment Plant)

About the role

Nine Hundred Builders Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to join our growing team in Seri Kembangan, Selangor. This role is ideal for candidates with strong experience in Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), Water Treatment Plant (WTP), infrastructure, or government-related construction projects.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing project execution from planning stage through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. You will work closely with consultants, clients, subcontractors, authorities, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

What you'll be doing

• Develop, manage, and implement comprehensive project plans to ensure smooth and timely project execution

• Oversee daily site operations and coordinate project activities with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams

• Monitor project progress, project costs, manpower, materials, and overall project performance

• Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to minimise delays and cost overruns

• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, authority requirements, safety standards, and quality expectations

• Coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical, piping, and commissioning activities for STP/WTP projects

• Attend site meetings, technical discussions, authority inspections, and client coordination meetings

• Prepare and maintain project reports, progress updates, documentation, and records throughout the project lifecycle

• Manage project timelines, variation orders (VO), claims, and subcontractor performance

• Ensure compliance with DOSH, DOE, SPAN, IWK, and other relevant authority requirements where applicable

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years and above working experience in Project Management within the construction, sewage treatment, wastewater treatment, or water treatment industry

• Proven experience in handling STP, WWTP, WTP, infrastructure, or government-related projects

• Experience managing full project cycle from planning, execution, testing & commissioning until project handover

• Strong knowledge in project coordination, site management, construction processes, and authority compliance

• Familiarity with sewage/water treatment systems, piping, M&E works, pumps, instrumentation, and commissioning processes will be an added advantage

• Good leadership, communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills

• Able to work independently and under pressure to meet project deadlines

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, or related project management software

• Possess strong documentation and reporting skills

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

• Possess own transport and willing to travel to project sites when required
