Responsibilities

Overview

Borneo International Centre for Arbitration and Mediation is seeking a proactive, organised, and creative individual to support the Centre’s day-to-day operations, case administration, seminars, hearings, events, and digital communications.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a varied professional environment involving administration, event coordination, stakeholder communications, social media content, and support for arbitration and mediation matters.

Key Responsibilities
Events, Seminars & Online Meetings
  • Support the planning and execution of seminars, conferences, hearings, and events organised by the Centre or jointly organised with partners.

  • Coordinate event logistics, budgets, vendors, participant registration, and stakeholder communications.

  • Liaise professionally with speakers, participants, partners, vendors, and other relevant parties.

  • Prepare and organise online meetings, webinars, and seminars using Zoom or other conferencing platforms.

  • Ensure events and meetings are carried out smoothly and professionally.

Social Media & Digital Content
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar for timely posting and consistent engagement across social media channels.

  • Work with the graphic designer to create engaging visuals, videos, and promotional materials.

  • Use tools such as Canva, CapCut, and native social media features to support digital content creation.

  • Assist in promoting the Centre’s events, seminars, announcements, and activities.

  • Support the Centre’s public engagement and professional image online.

Operations & Administration
  • Assist in preparing seminar and hearing rooms for seminars, hearings, meetings, and external rentals.

  • Maintain and organise the Centre’s filing system, records, and administrative documents.

  • Assist with daily operational and administrative duties.

  • Prepare correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, meeting materials, and other documents as required.

  • Report to the Chairman, Council Members, Manager, and Case Manager on matters relating to the Centre’s daily operations and management.

Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Event Management, Law, or a related field.

  • Good written and spoken English.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and general office applications.

  • Familiar with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, or similar online meeting platforms.

  • Basic knowledge of Canva, CapCut, and social media platforms is an advantage.

  • Strong organisational, communication, and coordination skills.

  • Able to multitask, meet deadlines, and work with attention to detail.

  • Professional, responsible, discreet, and able to maintain confidentiality.

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Prior experience in administration, events, professional services, legal services, dispute resolution, or social media coordination will be an added advantage.
