About Pasaraya SAVE

Pasaraya SAVE is a rapidly growing Malaysian grocery retail chain with 50+ outlets operating 24 hours across Perak. As part of our continuous expansion, we are strengthening our IT Support operations and are seeking a hands-on, operationally strong IT Support Executive to ensure all systems across our outlets run optimally at all times.

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive, responsible, and solution-oriented IT Support Executive to manage and support IT systems across multiple retail outlets. This role is critical in maintaining system reliability, minimizing downtime, and ensuring smooth daily operations across all branches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain retail hardware and software systems across multiple outlets, including POS systems, inventory management systems, CRM software, and other retail applications.
  • Provide both on-site and remote technical support to outlet staff by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Ensure all POS terminals, receipt printers, barcode scanners, and related devices are functioning efficiently at all times.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively minimize downtime to ensure uninterrupted outlet operations.
  • Study, recommend, and assist in implementing new IT systems or technologies to improve operational efficiency across the retail chain.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, system configurations, updates, and reported technical issues.
  • Ensure proper data security practices, system backups, and protection of sensitive customer and financial information in compliance with company policies.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers for system maintenance, upgrades, licensing, and repairs.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Area Manager or Head Office as required.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of IT support experience, preferably in a retail chain or multi-outlet environment.
  • Hands-on experience with POS systems, retail software, networking, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to support non-technical users.
  • Willing to travel between outlets when required.
  • Able to work in shifts
  • Able to work independently and respond to urgent technical issues promptly.
