Responsibilities

Department: Commercial / Revenue Strategy

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Level: Head of Department (HOD) / Cross-Functional Lead

Scope: Company-wide revenue engine (Livestream, Affiliate, Marketplace, Website)

1. ROLE SUMMARY

The Commercial Lead is the Revenue Architect of the organization.

This role is responsible for translating product, pricing, and demand into structured, scalable

revenue growth.

The Commercial Lead ensures that:

  • The right products are sold
  • At the right price
  • Through the right channels
  • At the right volume and timing

2. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

At the current stage of the organization:

  • Merchandising monitors stock
  • Livestream teams push based on experience
  • Affiliate teams follow trends
  • Marketplace teams optimize conversion

However, there is no central function responsible for:

  • Price architecture control
  • Product mix balance
  • Cross-channel alignment
  • Company-level revenue strategy

The Commercial Lead fills this gap by acting as the central decision-making layer.

3. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

3.1 Product & Price Architecture Ownership

  • Define pricing tiers: Entry (RM29–49), Core (RM59–79), Premium (RM109–149)
  • Balance SKU distribution across tiers
  • Identify Hero SKUs (Traffic, Revenue, Margin drivers)

3.2 Channel Strategy & Alignment

  • Define livestream SKU focus and pricing strategy
  • Guide affiliate product push and commissions
  • Align marketplace pricing and promotions

3.3 Demand vs Supply Balancing

  • Prevent overstock and stockouts
  • Translate sales signals into production decisions

3.4 Sales Performance Ownership

  • Own GMV targets
  • Monitor channel and price tier performance

3.5 Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Analyze SKU performance and trends
  • Produce weekly commercial insights

3.6 Campaign Strategy Leadership

  • Define product and pricing strategy for campaigns

4. REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong commercial and pricing thinking
  • Deep understanding of livestream and e-commerce sales
  • Data literacy and analytical ability
  • Strong cross-functional communication

5. KPIs

  • GMV achievement
  • Product sell-through rate
  • Price tier balance
  • Margin improvement
  • Stock efficiency

6. COMPENSATION

  • RM12,000 – RM18,000 base
  • Quarterly performance bonus tied to GMV and margin

7. FIRST

  • Month 1: Audit product, pricing, and channels
  • Month 2: Implement structure and alignment
  • Month 3: Optimize and scale performance

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM18,000.00 per month
