Responsibilities

About our company
Shin Yang Building Product Sdn. Bhd., established in 1993 in Malaysia, manufactures a wide range of processed wood and multi-plywood products. As part of the Shin Yang Group, we offer high-tech engineered plywood, including hardwood, concrete form, marine, film-faced, and bending plywood. We also provide renovation and electrical contractor services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop interior design concepts, layouts, and space planning based on client requirements.
  • Prepare design presentations, mood boards, and material selections.
  • Produce drawings and plans (2D/3D) for project execution.
  • Prepare quotations, budgets, and design proposals.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and project teams to ensure smooth project progress.
  • Attend site visits to monitor work progress and ensure design implementation matches approved drawings.
  • Manage project timelines and ensure completion within deadlines.
  • Provide creative ideas and suggestions to improve project outcomes.
  • Ensure designs comply with safety standards and client expectations.

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma / Degree in Interior Design or related field.
  • At least 1–2 years experience in interior design (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Photoshop or similar.
  • Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willing to travel for site visits when required.
