Position: Geologist
Location: All Semenanjung Area

Job Summary

We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Geologist to support our construction and infrastructure project operations across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting geological investigations, monitoring ground conditions, and providing technical input to ensure safe and compliant project execution. This role requires at least 3 years of relevant field experience in geological works, preferably in construction or oil & gas projects.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in geology, engineering geology, geoscience, or related field.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, or oil & gas projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, rock classification, and geological principles.
• Familiar with site investigation works and field-based geological activities.
• Understanding of Malaysian standards, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Able to work at various project locations across Semenanjung Malaysia.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct and supervise geological site investigations including soil and rock logging and sampling.
• Perform geological mapping, core logging, and subsurface data interpretation.
• Monitor excavation works, earthworks, slope stability, and ground conditions on site.
• Review and verify soil, rock, and laboratory test results.
• Identify, assess, and report geological risks and potential site hazards.
• Prepare and review geological reports, borehole logs, method statements, and technical documents.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and laboratory teams on geology-related matters.
• Participate in site inspections, audits, and joint walkthroughs with clients and consultants.
• Provide geological input and recommendations to support project planning and execution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geoscience, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant site-based geological experience.
• Strong technical understanding of field investigation and reporting processes.
• Possess or able to obtain OGSP, CIDB Green Card, and other relevant certifications.
• Familiar with Petronas Technical Standards (PTS) and Malaysian codes of practice is an added advantage.
• Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
