Position: Procurement Executive
Location: Putrajaya, Malaysia
Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Procurement Executive to support procurement and contract administration activities for construction and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials and services, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, monitoring procurement costs, and ensuring timely delivery in accordance with project requirements. Experience in civil, infrastructure, or pipeline-related projects will be an added advantage.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Quantity Surveying, or construction-related fields.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field.
- Experience in construction, civil infrastructure, or oil & gas projects is preferred.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, cost control, and contract administration.
- Familiar with purchase orders, quotations, supplier evaluations, and subcontractor coordination.
- Good knowledge of local construction laws, regulations, and industry practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for reporting and documentation.
- Able to work independently and coordinate with project teams effectively.
- Possess or able to obtain OGSP, CIDB Green Card, and other relevant certifications.
- Familiar with Petronas Technical Standards (PTS) and Malaysian codes of practice is an added advantage.
- Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in both Bahasa Malaysia and English, written and spoken.
- Willing to travel to project sites when required.
- Possess a valid driving license.
Job Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for project materials and services.
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and procurement documentation.
- Monitor material deliveries and ensure timely supply according to project schedules.
- Coordinate with project teams, suppliers, contractors, and consultants on procurement-related matters.
- Compare quotations and conduct cost analysis to ensure competitive pricing and cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and supporting documentation for project tracking and reporting.
- Review supplier invoices and verify supporting documents before submission for payment processing.
- Assist in tender preparation, contract documentation, and procurement planning.
- Monitor procurement budgets and support project cost control initiatives.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contract requirements, and project specifications.
- Support site teams in material coordination, quantity verification, and logistics arrangements when required.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations and maintain good working relationships with vendors.
