Job Description

Responsibilities

Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial operations. This includes managing and recording financial transactions, supporting audit processes, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and assisting in the smooth operation of the finance department. The role acts as a foundational support system for the financial team, facilitating efficient and compliant financial practices.

Key Responsibility Areas:

1. Ensuring accurate entry and maintenance of financial transactions, including expenses, incomes, payables, and receivables.

2. Verifying and recording expenses accurately, managing reimbursements to employees for company-related expenditures, and ensuring proper documentation and adherence to expense policies.

3. Reconciling bank statements with the company’s financial records regularly, addressing any discrepancies to maintain accurate and consistent financial reports.

4. Supporting the payroll function by verifying employee records, assisting in the calculation of salaries, and ensuring accurate and timely salary distribution, including withholdings and deductions according to legal requirements.

5. Managing the reimbursement process for employees efficiently, ensuring that all claims are processed accurately and promptly, adhering to company policies and tax regulations.

6. Overseeing accounts payable, including the timely and accurate payment of invoices to vendors, suppliers, and service providers, maintaining good relationships and ensuring favorable terms.

7. Assisting in the maintenance of detailed financial records through bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and invoice management, contributing to the financial integrity and audit readiness of the organization.

8. Facilitating audit processes by providing necessary financial documentation and assistance, ensuring that the organization complies with auditing standards and financial regulations.

9. Aiding in the preparation and filing of tax documents, ensuring that the organization remains compliant with tax laws, including the accurate reporting of expenses, payables, and payroll-related taxes.

10. Engaging with the finance team, human resources, and other departments to ensure seamless financial operations, effective communication, and resolution of financial matters.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is typically required

Relevant experience in accounting or finance positions demonstrating practical knowledge and the ability to apply accounting principles in real-world scenarios.

Deep understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, financial regulations, and the ability to apply this knowledge in day-to-day operations.

Analytical Skills for financial data, identify discrepancies, and provide logical solutions to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

Precision in managing financial records, data entry, and ensuring the accuracy of financial documents and reports.

Capability to efficiently manage multiple tasks, maintain systematic records, and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Effective oral and written communication abilities are essential for collaborating with the finance team, other departments, and external parties, such as vendors and tax authorities.

Problem-Solving Skills for identifying issues in financial records and processes, and developing effective resolutions to maintain financial integrity.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Autocount), data entry tools, financial management systems, and proficiency in spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel) is crucial for efficient operation.

Strong ethical standards are necessary for handling confidential financial information, along with professionalism in all interactions and transactions.

The ability to adapt to changes in financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting technology

Pay: RM600.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
