We are looking for a dedicated engineer to assist with the scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality. The Project Engineer / Site Engineer is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines of ongoing projects and will establish inspection criteria for the proper implementation of all the elements of a project.

To be a successful Project Engineer / Site Engineer, you should have the ability to work with multiple discipline projects and demonstrate excellent project management and supervision skills. You should also have excellent organisational, time management, leadership, able to handle stress and decision-making skills.

Job Description

You will be fully responsible on all project related matters, inclusive of project planning, monitoring project progress, maintaining project schedule, construction work execution, supervising project quality, project safety and health related issues as well as resolving problems. You shall take lead to plan and execute the projects from quality and safety and delivery as per the clients’ requirement and to comply to the Laws, Act and Regulations.

Your routine duties include but not limited to the functions as below:

• Attend site visits and meetings for projects.
• Coordinating activities, supervision and arrangement on site.
• To prepare and compile reports according to project progress.
• Quality checking and control for the construction work result.
• Plan and attend to project quality, safety and health related matter.
• Assist in reviewing design and specifications and ensuring the work implementation as per requirement.
• Recommending actions and monitoring the recommendation for work improvement.
• Liaise with sub-contractors and workers for construction work on regular basis.
• To comply & adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety and Health and Environment related to the job scope and workplace as required by the Company.
• To monitor and control all Safety & Health aspects at the assigned project site(s) and to fully comply with OSHA and FMA requirements.
• To conduct project monitoring checklist on compliance and non-compliance activities at site(s).
• To assist any officer (i.e., from client or from any other authorities involving safety and health) in carrying out his / her duty under the policy and ACT.
• To perform other assignments delegated to you whenever required to do so.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in field operations and project planning.
• Excellent computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and engineering design / visualization software.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary projects.
• Strong project management, supervision, and coordination skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Excellent organisational, time management, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Must possess good discipline, integrity, and work ethics.
• Knowledge of applicable engineering codes, standards, policies, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Must be medically fit and in good health to perform site and project-related duties.
• Must be able to pass client/site security screening, medical examination, and e-vetting requirements where applicable.
• Must comply with company policies, safety regulations, and project site requirements at all times.

Please note that the work location will be based on project site assignments and may vary depending on operational requirements.
