They are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead plant engineering, maintenance, and reliability functions.

Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in chemical process manufacturing, process manufacturing, or similar industrial plant environments
- Strong technical experience in:
- Plant machinery reliability and maintenance management
- Mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and infrastructure maintenance
- Preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA), breakdown troubleshooting, and corrective action implementation
- Utilities and energy consumption monitoring / optimisation
- CAPEX project execution and engineering project management
- Engineering stores, spare parts planning, and procurement technical support
- Maintenance budgeting, cost control, and engineering reporting
- Regulatory compliance including safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Strong technical leadership, supervisory, and team management experience
- Analytical, independent, proactive, and solution-driven mindset
- Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering and maintenance functions to maximise plant machinery availability, system reliability, and operational efficiency
- Oversee all plant maintenance activities across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, utilities, and infrastructure systems
- Monitor daily engineering performance to ensure optimal equipment uptime and plant operations
- Plan, organise, and execute engineering works and technical requirements across operational departments
- Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programmes to minimise breakdowns and improve plant reliability
- Conduct root cause analysis for major breakdowns and implement corrective / preventive actions to prevent recurrence
- Monitor plant energy and utility consumption, identifying opportunities for optimisation, innovation, and cost savings
- Prepare engineering reports including maintenance performance, utility consumption, inventory status, and CAPEX progress for management review
- Manage maintenance budgets, repair & maintenance expenditure, and engineering stock / inventory controls
- Execute approved CAPEX projects in line with required specifications, timelines, and budget expectations
- Review engineering material requirements and provide technical guidance to procurement for accurate purchasing decisions
- Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, safety, environmental, and operational standards, including audit readiness
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance and operational effectiveness
