Job Description

Responsibilities

1. Kitchen Crew (General Kitchen Assistant)

Job Description:

  • Assist in food preparation, cooking, and plating under supervision.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area, utensils, and equipment.
  • Receive, store, and organize ingredients and supplies properly.
  • Follow standard recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines.
  • Support chefs and team members during busy service periods.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of food handling and hygiene.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • No prior experience required (training will be provided).

2. Commis (Junior Cook)

Job Description:

  • Assist the Demi Chef and Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations.
  • Prepare ingredients (cutting, marinating, measuring, etc.) for cooking.
  • Cook simple dishes and handle assigned sections when required.
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and equipment condition.
  • Adhere to safety, hygiene, and quality standards at all times.

Requirements:

  • Certificate or diploma in culinary arts is an advantage.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen preferred.
  • Passionate about cooking and willing to learn.
  • Able to follow instructions and work efficiently in a team.

3. Demi Chef (Section Cook / Assistant Chef de Partie)

Job Description:

  • Responsible for managing a specific kitchen section (e.g., grill, sauce, pastry).
  • Supervise and train commis and kitchen crew under your section.
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Monitor food quality, taste, and consistency before serving.
  • Maintain stock control, minimize wastage, and assist in inventory management.
  • Ensure all kitchen operations comply with hygiene and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–3 years experience in a similar role.
  • Strong culinary knowledge and skills in food preparation.
  • Leadership and teamwork abilities.
  • Good communication and time management skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
