Job Description

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide solutions, suggestions, assistance, guidance and/or supervision to address the development and operational issues encountered by the Company Operational and Development teams (with emphasis on Collection, Cleansing and Facility Operations and Projects related Facilities).
  • Carry out audit /check on operation activities and due diligence work on new projects.
  • Coordinate projects with internal staff and external contractors to meet project deadlines.
  • Plan, schedule and prioritize the starting and completion times of projects.
  • Conduct price comparisons, verification of PRs/ DOs/ Invoices and work within a project budget.
  • Prepare proposals for new business development, including project conceptual design, implementation schedule, operating plan, contract/ legal review, budget, project risk analysis, mapping, feasibility study, site observation report etc.
  • Monitor and coordinate plant/ machinery/ vehicle/ equipment operation and performance, including subcontractor machinery.
  • File completed project documents for future reference.
  • Coordination with local authorities and relevant government bodies.
  • Compile, prepare and submit weekly, monthly and periodic reports on capital projects.
  • Assist in the renewal of operation licenses.
  • Assess site for facility monthly KPI and provide findings to the team.
  • Prepare monthly billing, reports and EXCO report.
  • Manage SAP system which include raise PR, PR/PO Contract and GRN in SAP when needed.
  • Assist in the coordination of Quality Management matters.
  • Liaise with state Operation team to attend any daily requirements.
  • Attend to SWCorp meeting at Johor, meeting with the government/ client on any operational/ facility/ O&M contract related matters as and when needed.
  • Coordinate Research and Development work pertaining to waste management.
  • Manage the work of external consultants; develop schedules for design, bidding and construction.
  • Prepare and review project schedules; investigate and resolve schedule on assigned projects.
  • Provides technical direction, project management, and assistance to developers, consultants, outside agencies and engineering staff regarding capital project.
  • Prepare and review RFQ’s and RFP’s for professional engineering, architecture and landscape architecture services for various capital projects; assist other departments with engineering recommendations and selections of consultants/ contractors.
  • Perform construction management and field observations for various capital projects.
  • Provide supervision, technical direction and assistance to the other Project Engineers.
  • Prepare budget estimates for all capital improvement projects; approves materials, methods, equipment, specifications, cost estimates and other documents related to project design and construction. Negotiate contracts for best value.
  • Perform research, analyze findings; prepare recommendations for project planning needs.
  • Perform any other tasks or assignments as and when assigned by the Management.

Job Specification:

  • At least a diploma/ bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in doing facilities/maintenance or project operations with or without exposure in waste management industry.
  • Meticulous and systematic in organizing own work processes.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Project is a must.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with sharp analytical and evaluation abilities.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written in multilingual i.e. English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Mechanical knowledge will be an added advantage.
  • Able to work under minimum supervision and deal with deadlines.
  • Has a valid driving license and own transport to travel for work.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
