Job Description

Responsibilities

Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Fixed Asset Lifecycle & Capitalisation

  • Set up and maintain WBS of fixed assets in SAP

  • Capitalisation of all assets purchased upon delivery or completion of construction, including assets under construction

  • Recommend appropriate asset classes and ensure they are in line with financial policy and FRS

2. Grants & Government Assistance

  • Track Grant Amortisation in accordance with FRS/IFRS

3. Reporting, Audit & Governance

  • Responsible for monthly / quarterly accounting and reporting for fixed asset related matters

  • Support and assist in statutory audit

  • Support and provide analysis (including capital allowance) for statutory tax compliance purpose

4. Policies, SOPs & Group Alignment

  • Support and ensure the financial policies and SOPs aligned are updated in accordance with the relevant financial reporting standards and changes in business requirements

  • Keep abreast of new technical accounting and financial reporting matters.

5. Asset Controls & Safeguarding

  • Ensure proper tagging of assets

6. Participate in group finance projects and initiatives as required

7. To perform any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or equivalent professional qualification is required with at least 5 years of relevant experience preferred.

  • Good knowledge of ERP system and financial processes.

  • Meticulous with a strong analytical mind and ability to work under pressure to meet tight schedules.

  • Excellent communication, management and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of various stakeholders.

  • Self-motivated with a “sense-of-urgency” and "hands-on" approach.

  • Able to adapt to changing needs and processes to learn and grow alongside the business.
