Job Summary

Our hiring team is based in Singapore (BW Nexus Pte. Ltd.) and we are hiring this role for our MSO-licensed entity in Hong Kong. This role will lead the company’s compliance strategy, regulatory engagement, and governance framework, ensuring full adherence to applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Liaison

• Lead all regulatory engagement with relevant Hong Kong authorities, including the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department (CED)
• Manage regulatory enquiries, inspections, and ongoing supervisory communications

Compliance Leadership

• Act as Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO)
• Establish, lead, and continuously enhance AML/CFT and sanctions compliance frameworks
• Oversee investigation and filing of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STR)

Governance & Oversight

• Ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable laws, license conditions, and regulatory guidelines
• Identify, assess, and escalate material compliance risks or breaches
• Provide regular reporting to senior management/Board on compliance matters
• Advise on regulatory implications of business initiatives and new products

Requirements

• MUST be a Hong Kong resident
• Must meet “fit and proper” criteria required by the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department (CED)
• Must successfully pass the competency assessment as required by CED.
• Bachelor’s degree in law, Finance, Business, or related field; advanced qualifications preferred
• Minimum 8 years of compliance experience in FinTech, payments, or financial services
• Strong knowledge of MSO regulatory framework, Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Ordinance and Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and independent decision-making capability
• High integrity and sound judgment

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per month
