Tots & Trim — Malaysia's first kids' hair salon — is opening soon in TTDI, and we're looking for awesome people to join our founding crew!

About the Role

We’re looking for a fun, patient, and creative hairstylist who loves working with children of all ages — from wiggly toddlers to school-age kids. You’ll be a big part of making haircut day a happy memory!

Requirements

• SKM Level 2 or 3 in Hairdressing from JPK, or a Certificate/Diploma in Hairdressing from a recognized beauty academy
• Candidates trained through apprenticeships at established salons are welcome to apply
• Minimum 1 year of professional salon experience (experience cutting children’s hair is a strong advantage)
• Exceptional patience, energy, and a genuine love for working with kids
• Strong communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and/or English (ability to speak Mandarin is a bonus for serving diverse families)
• Ability to work on weekends and public holidays as these are peak family salon days
• Reliable, punctual, and a true team player
• Malaysian citizen or holder of a valid work permit

Key Responsibilities

• Perform haircuts and styling for infants, toddlers, and children up to age 14
• Create a calm, welcoming, and fun atmosphere for nervous or first-time clients
• Communicate clearly and warmly with both children and their parents/guardians
• Consult with parents on desired styles while offering age-appropriate suggestions
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe workstation at all times
• Handle unexpected behavior (tears, squirming, fear) with patience and positivity
• Keep up with kid-friendly and trending children’s hairstyles
• Assist in maintaining salon supplies and product inventory
