Responsibilities

Job Specifications:
- Supervise daily laboratory activities and laboratory personnel.
- Ensure all testing and analysis are conducted according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) requirements.
- Monitor quality control for Crude Palm Oil (CPO), palm kernel, effluent / water analysis, process losses, and mill performance.
- Verify laboratory test results including Free Fatty Acid (FFA), moisture, dirt oil losses.
- Prepare and maintain laboratory reports, records, and documentation.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
- Monitor chemical inventory and laboratory consumables.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with mill management and production team on quality-related matters and continuous improvements initiatives.
- Train and guide laboratory assistants/technicians.
- Assist during internal and external audits.

Requirements:
- Minimum SPM qualification. A Diploma in Industrial Chemistry or any equivalent academic qualifications.
- 2–5 years working experience in a palm oil mill laboratory.
- Knowledge in palm oil quality analysis and laboratory procedures.
- Familiar with MPOB standards, ISO, MSPO, HACCP and laboratory audit requirements will be an added advantage.
- Able to work independently and under pressure.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Excel, Word, reporting systems.
- Good leadership, communication, and report-writing skills.
