Accounts Assistant (Accounts Payable) – Junior Level

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accounts Assistant (Accounts Payable) to join our finance team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of accounting experience who are looking to build a career in finance and accounting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Accounts Payable function, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and ensure proper documentation and approvals are obtained.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders, delivery orders, and supporting documents.
• Prepare payment schedules and assist with payment processing.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain accurate Accounts Payable records and filing systems.
• Assist in monthly closing activities and account reconciliations.
• Follow up with internal departments and vendors on outstanding matters.
• Support audit requirements by preparing requested documentation.
• Perform general administrative and accounting duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with 1–2 years of Accounts Payable or accounting experience will have an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with accounting software will be an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
