Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Execution:

· Strategize and manage production schedules to meet customer delivery timelines. Optimize the allocation of manpower, machinery, and raw materials (e.g., steel, stainless steel).

· Ensuring product quality and consistency in line with engineering specifications and customer requirements.

Quality Control & Assurance:

· Enforce rigorous inspection processes to guarantee fabricated parts meet exact engineering specifications. Ensure full compliance with ISO 9001 and handle non-conformance or customer complaints.

· Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield enhancement, defect reduction, and process stability.

Process Optimization:

· Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), scrap rates, and yield. Drive continuous improvement methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to reduce waste and lower manufacturing costs.

Team Leadership & Development:

· Supervise production supervisors, technicians, and operators. Conduct performance evaluations, coordinate training, and build a high-performance shop floor culture.

· Collaborating with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve process and equipment-related issues.

Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:

· Identifying and addressing any production-related problems, such as equipment malfunctions, material inconsistencies, or process deviations.

· Overseeing tooling and equipment readiness in collaboration with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

Tooling & Maintenance Management:

· Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams to schedule preventative maintenance for equipment like stamping presses, press brakes, and welding units.

Health, Safety, & Compliance:

· Promote zero-accident rates by strictly enforcing OSHA regulations, managing personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and facilitating workplace safety audits.

· Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards within the production environment.

· Proven expertise in precision manufacturing environments such as metal forming, machining, or component production.

· Strong exposure to process control, yield improvement, and scrap reduction strategies.

· Experience managing high-mix or technically complex production environments is advantageous.

Requirements

We’re looking for an experienced leader who thrives in precision-driven environments. The ideal candidate will have:

Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.

Experience: 5 to 8years of managerial experience in metal fabrication, precision machining, or sheet metal manufacturing.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, working with ERP/MRP systems for production planning, and understanding tooling lifecycles.

Language Skills: Strong command of English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin

· Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage shop floor operations and multi-layer teams effectively.

· Solid understanding of production planning, capacity management, and KPI-driven performance metrics.

· Hands-on problem-solving capabilities for addressing process and equipment challenges.

· Familiarity with structured quality systems (e.g., ISO standards).

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven manufacturing environment.

· Strong reporting skills, able to prepare daily/weekly/monthly production performance reports.

· Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet delivery timelines and customer requirements.
