Responsibilities: -

• To overall oversight and management of financial functions within PCB and the Group of Companies,

including accounting, internal controls, taxation, treasury, and performance management. The role ensures

the delivery of accurate, timely, and reliable financial information, while maintaining full compliance with

regulatory and statutory requirements. Additionally, the Financial Controller is accountable for the

consolidation of financial results for the Perak Corp Group of Companies, ensuring consistency, accuracy,

and integrity in group financial reporting.

• To supports effective financial management and governance practices, promotes transparency in financial

reporting, and contributes to strategic planning and decision-making processes. It also fosters crossfunctional collaboration across departments and subsidiaries, playing a key role in maintaining the

organisation’s financial stability, growth, and long-term success.

Job Description: -

• To ensure the accurate maintenance of financial and accounting records, including the timely submission of

financial reports, while safeguarding the overall integrity of the financial accounting and reporting system.

• To be responsible for the consolidation of financial results across the Perak Corp group of companies in an

accurate and timely manner.

• To prepare quarterly interim financial reports of Perak Corp for submission and announcement to Bursa

Securities in compliance with regulatory requirements.

• To lead and manage the finance team in performing routine accounting functions, ensuring full compliance

with the Company’s accounting policies and financial reporting standards, while supporting both internal

performance reporting and external statutory reporting requirements.

• To lead the year-end audit process and oversee the preparation of statutory financial statements for the

PCB Corp group of companies.

• To prepare consolidated statutory financial statements for Perak Corp in accordance with applicable

standards and regulations.

• To manage the accuracy and timeliness of tax filings, including income tax and SST, ensuring full

compliance through proper preparation, reconciliation, and review of tax-related data and schedules.

• To oversee the preparation, presentation, and implementation of budgets, financial planning, and

forecasting activities to support business objectives.

• To provide accurate, timely, and high-quality financial analysis and reports to support effective business

measurement, planning, and strategic decision-making.

• To collaborate with Business Units by providing financial insights, management reports, and

recommendations to support operational and strategic initiatives.

• To assess the financial viability of new business initiatives, evaluate investment opportunities and capital

expenditure projects, and prioritize resource allocation in line with strategic goals and financial constraints.

• To manage cash flow forecasting and continuously monitor the Company’s cash position to ensure

adequate liquidity.

• To oversee and manage cash management operations, including cash administration, bank and loan

account management, and maintaining strong banking relationships.

• To establish and maintain robust internal control procedures to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud,

and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.

• To continuously review and improve financial processes, work practices, and procedures to enhance

operational efficiency and address potential risks or issues.

• To implement effective controls and procedures for recording, classifying, and reporting financial

transactions, ensuring the integrity and reliability of financial statements and preventing misrepresentation.

• To liaise with company secretaries, tax agents, banks, and relevant statutory bodies to ensure compliance

with local regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.

• To lead and manage the finance team effectively, ensuring clear direction and accountability in achieving

departmental objectives.

• To provide guidance, coaching, and constructive performance feedback to team members to enhance their

capabilities and performance.

• To continuously evaluate and improve the finance structure and team capabilities to enhance efficiency,

effectiveness, and overall performance, while supporting individual professional and personal development.

• To foster a positive working environment that encourages collaboration, professionalism, and continuous

learning.

• To ensure the finance team consistently meets deadlines and delivers high-quality outputs in line with

expectations.

• To provide technical financial advice, insights, and analysis to support informed decision-making by

management and stakeholders.

• To effectively communicate financial performance, key insights, and forecasts to relevant stakeholders in a

clear and timely manner.

• To build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.

• To respond to inquiries and provide expert financial guidance and support as required.

• To continuously update professional knowledge by staying informed of new financial regulations, standards,

and industry best practices.


Requirements: -

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• At least eight (8) to ten (10) years related experience in public accounting and industry. In addition,

experience in accounting principles, financial compliance and knowledge of GAAP.

• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or CFA are often preferred and can be an added

advantage.

• Ability to work independently, support the team, and meet deadlines.

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting is essential.

• Familiarity with accounting standards, financial regulations, and taxation requirements is necessary.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required for effective financial management.

• Able to cooperate, work in a team and coordinate work activities with other divisions/departments and

external stakeholders.

• Good verbal and written command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Good communication and

interpersonal skills.
