Role

We are searching for a Partner to join our client's firm. In that role, you will be a cultural and strategic cornerstone of the firm. You will lead investments from first meeting to final close, serve as a trusted support contact to portfolio founders, and contribute materially to firm strategy, brand, and talent development. You will also have the opportunity to assist in other important areas of the firm as needs may (and invariably will) arise. The right candidate for this role will be someone who wants to write the playbook alongside a small, hungry team in an incredibly dynamic asset class.

Responsibilities for this Role

Investment Execution

• Lead end-to-end deal execution: source, evaluate, and drive investments from initial diligence through structuring, term sheet negotiation, and close.
• Own valuation modeling, tokenomics design assessment, market mapping, and competitive landscaping for prospective investments.
• Manage comprehensive diligence processes, coordinating technical, financial, legal, and operational workstreams.
• Present investment theses and recommendations to the partnership with clarity, intellectual honesty, and conviction.

Portfolio Value Creation

• Serve as a high-impact, high-trust partner to portfolio company leadership teams post-investment.
• Provide direct, hands-on strategic support in areas including technical recruiting, go-to-market and customer acquisition strategy, treasury and token design, operating cadence, and narrative building.
• Lead follow-on financing processes for portfolio companies, including bridge rounds, strategic syndication, and Series A+ positioning.
• Build and leverage a world-class network of operators, liquidity providers, exchange relationships, and ecosystem partners on behalf of portfolio companies.

Firm Strategy and Leadership

• Partner with the leadership team to define and continuously refine the firm’s investment thesis, sector focus, and market positioning.
• Contribute to fund strategy, fund formation, limited partner relationship management, and broader firm-wide decisions as a member of firm leadership.
• Actively mentor and develop junior investment professionals by setting the proper performance example, raise the bar for analytical rigor, and cultivate a high-performance, intellectually honest culture.
• Represent the company externally as a visible thought leader—through content, conference appearances, protocol governance participation, and ecosystem engagement.

Role Requirements

• Investment Execution: 5+ years in a core investment execution role, with demonstrated full-cycle deal leadership experience in venture capital, private equity, or a relevant principal investing capacity. Direct responsibility for originating, completing due diligence, structuring, and closing deals with meaningful check sizes.
• Portfolio Value Creation: 5+ years providing hands-on strategic or operational support to portfolio companies or high-growth startups—ideally across technical recruiting, go-to-market strategy, follow-on financing, and ecosystem development.
• Firm Strategy and Leadership: 5+ years in a role requiring active collaboration on firm strategy, investment thesis design, or fund management, with a demonstrable track record of mentoring junior investors and contributing to organisational culture and direction.
• Deep, demonstrable fluency in web3/crypto: infrastructure, DeFi, consumer crypto, tokenomics, and the evolving regulatory landscape. Active on-chain participation and protocol governance engagement are strong signals.
• A strong, portable network across the crypto founder, operator, and limited partner ecosystems.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to operate with autonomy and high judgment in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proven ability to think from first principles and build conviction in emerging, pre-consensus sectors.

What Sets You Apart

• You have led or founded a crypto project, protocol, or DAO, or have been an operator in a high-growth web3 company.
• You bring a demonstrable track record of winning competitive allocations in hotly contested early-stage rounds.
• You have written publicly, governed actively, or meaningfully contributed to the development of major protocol ecosystems.
• You combine technical depth (can read and reason about smart contract architecture, mechanism design) with commercial edge.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per month
