Job Summary
To ensure that the company's environmental management system is in compliance with local regulations, ISO standard and client requirements. The Environment Officer is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and reporting environmental performance, including waste management, emissions, water, and sustainability initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
Scheduled Waste Management
- Manage and monitor scheduled waste (SW104, SW110, SW401, SW409, SW410) for multiple sites.
- Ensure proper labeling, weighing, segregation, and storage in compliance with DOE (Department of Environment) regulations.
- Prepare waste inventory and ensure timely submission to eSWIS system.
- Coordinate with licensed contractors for waste collection and disposal.
Environmental Monitoring
- Conduct and coordinate air emission (LEV) monitoring, noise boundary assessment, and stormwater discharge monitoring as per regulatory frequency.
- Liaise with third-party consultants and ensure all reports meet DOE standards.
- Ensure preventive actions are taken for non-compliance findings.
GHG and Resource Tracking
- Compile and analyze electricity, water, and diesel usage data for GHG calculation and sustainability reporting.
- Support management in identifying opportunities for resource efficiency and carbon reduction
Awareness & Documentation
- Arrange environmental awareness programs for workers and operators (non-trainer role).
- Maintain and update environmental SOPs, aspect-impact register, and environmental legal compliance register
Communication & Liaison
- Liaise with Department of Environment (DOE) and other government bodies for licensing, inspections, and inquiries.
- Attend client audits (e.g. Dyson, Cricut) and assist in RBA / ESG documentation.
- Prepare documents and data for internal and external environmental audits.
ISO & EMS Support
- Support implementation and improvement of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
- Participate in risk assessments and internal audits related to environmental aspects.
Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Ecology, Biology, or related field.
- Post-graduate diploma in Environmental Management (optional but preferred).
Computer knowledge Specialized knowledge
Computer Knowledge:
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiar with database systems and reporting tools.
- Ability to use Eswiss system
Skills

Working Experience
- 1-3 years' experience in environmental management or related field (entry level).
- 3-5+ years for senior or specialized roles.
