Job Description

Requirements

  • Advanced University Degree in Social Sciences Agricultural Economics, Project Management, Statistic, Data Management, or relevant subject, preferably with specialization in Research, Monitoring and Evaluation;
  • At least 2 – 4 years’ experience in the implementation of international development programs, including substantial experience in monitoring and evaluation, data collection analysis and management, quantitative and qualitative research;
  • Experience in working with policymakers, researchers, consultants, and knowledge brokers in International Cooperation;
  • Experience in using data analyses tools (SPSS, Stata, or similar tools)
  • Experience in technical report writing and research activities
  • Capable of working in a dynamic, intercultural, multi-stakeholder setting;
  • Able to travel extensively within the country;
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to produce professional reports in the English language.

Responsibilities

Project management

  •  Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results and sustainability of the project's impact. 
  •  Oversee data collection processes, including the design of surveys, interviews, and data collection protocols.
  •  Support PMEL lead and programme lead in coordination and facilitation of overall planning and reviewing the project progress, provide the necessary guidance to the project team
  •  Develop and implement procedures for effective data management, data sharing and data analysis.
  •  Assist in the preparation of monthly MIS reports and other relevant reports. Lead on drafting narrative report for the project and oversee alignment with the key deliverables of the project
  •  Work in close cooperation with PMEL lead and project lead for meeting the needs of the project and donor 
  •  Support PMEL lead and project lead in evaluation and research studies that includes design, tool development, data collection, data analysis, reporting and documentation

Knowledge Management

  •  Develop mechanisms to document project results and processes for the funders and for the other stakeholders.
  •  Ensure quality, consistency and adherence to good practices
  •  Document good practices and new initiatives for replication. Documentation of various project results and processes and development of success stories and fact sheets for knowledge sharing and dissemination.
  •  Report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities

Learning and development

  •  Develop success stories and fact sheets for strategic sharing and dissemination 
  •  Facilitate learning from programme including results, evaluations, reviews and through designing specific learning and knowledge exchange exercise for the staff associated with the project
  •  Develop and implement a detailed learning plan based on learning outcomes or learning questions, and related work plans
  •  To lead and support on research, data management assignments and any other related assignments as and when required and delegated by the reporting authority.
