Position: Physics Expert

Type: Short-term Contract

Compensation: $346 per task upon approval

Location: Remote

Commitment: 8 hours per day with 4 hours overlap with PST

Duration: 11 Weeks

Start Date: Immediate

Role Responsibilities

• Design and solve challenging Physics problems to evaluate large language models
• Create clear, step-by-step Physics solutions with detailed reasoning
• Collaborate with LLM researchers on evaluation benchmarks and reasoning tasks
• Help define new evaluation benchmarks spanning undergraduate to PhD-level Physics
• Analyze and solve complex Physics problems with a logical and structured approach
• Explain Physics concepts clearly using simple language, visuals, and reasoning

Requirements

• Candidates with a Master s, Ph.D., or currently pursuing a Ph.D./Postdoctoral degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or related fields are encouraged to apply
• Proficiency in at least three of the following tools:
• QuTiP, OQuPy, QuSpin, TenPy, Strawberry Fields, openEMS, ngspice, Quantum ESPRESSO, OpenFOAM, FEniCS/FEniCSx (DOLFINx), WarpX, REBOUND, PYTHIA, Kwant, Elmer FEM, GF180MCU PDK, Sky130 PDK, FreeCAD, Project Chrono, Scilab Xcos, volare, emcee, Icarus Verilog, GTKWave, Verilator, gmsh, Elmer, pyarmadillo, and MeshLab
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Creative and lateral thinking abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment
