Responsibilities
What you'll be doing
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve data integration issues to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate reactively and autonomously with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders from France/Lux and Malaysia when any production or issues arise.
- Develop and maintain ETL transformation rules using Talend Big data to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
- Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines to support business intelligence and analytics.
- Monitor data quality, performance, and compliance with security policies and industry standards.
- Document ETL processes, transformation rules, and workflows to ensure operational clarity and efficiency.
- Assist in migrating and integrating data from legacy systems to modern cloud-based platforms.
- Perform data validation, cleansing, and enrichment for improved usability.
- Ensure data governance principles are upheld in all ETL processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 6+ years of proven experience in working as a data Developer
- Proven experience as a data developer within the banking and finance industry or ideally asset servicing.
- Experience with technologies such as ETL tools (PlatformTalend Big data)
- Strong hands-on expertise with Apache Spark (PySpark or Scala-based jobs is a plus).
- Proficiency in SQL and optimizations (performance tuning)
- Understanding of relational and columnar databases.
- Familiarity with Data Lake architectures and distributed data processing concepts.
- Knowledge on replication tool (Attunity)
- Knowledge on massive data storage framework (Vertica, snowflake).
- Knowledge of data streaming platforms (Kafka, streamset) would be appreciated
- Knowledge of project development methodologies (Agile).
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, Docker, or other DevOps tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently/Autonomously and in cross-functional teams.
- Work experience in Finance, banking or insurance industry is preferred.
