1. Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process: from PR to final delivery and close-out.
- Identify and vet global and local suppliers for specialized plant equipment.
2. Vendor & Subcontractor Management
- Negotiate high-value contracts, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Maintain a robust pre-qualified vendor list and conduct regular performance audits.
- Manage relationships with logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of oversized or hazardous materials to remote sites.
3. Project Coordination & Cost Control
- Collaborate with Engineering and Project Management teams to align procurement schedules with construction milestones.
- Monitor market trends and commodity prices (steel, copper, fuel) to mitigate financial risks.
- Track procurement budgets and provide regular reports on cost savings and variances.
4. Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all procured items meet industry standards and project-specific technical requirements.
- Oversee the inspection and expediting process to prevent site delays.
- Maintain strict adherence to company ethics, anti-corruption policies, and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 7–10 years in procurement and 5 years in managerial role.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of EPC contracts, Incoterms, and international shipping logistics.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation tactics, analytical thinking, and the ability to work under high-pressure project deadlines.
