Job Description

Requirements

Accounting

  • Ensure timely and accurate month end closing of accounts

  • Review journal entries, schedules, reconciliation

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system data and financial records; proactively implement solutions to minimize variances

  • Track and analyze marketing program expenditures and related costs

  • Review credit notes, incentive claims, and sales commission calculations

  • Responsible for all document completeness and compliance

  • Address day to day operational issues and ensure proper recording and accountability of transactions

  • Lead and manage external audit process, liaise with auditors and ensure timely completion

  • Prepare audit schedules and liaise with auditors, tax agent and company secretary accordingly

  • Monitor anti-money laundering activities

 AR Center of Excellence

  • Ensure AR and onboarding processes comply with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements

  • Review AR outputs such as aging reports, collection status, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness

  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence by the team

  • Oversee audit processes related to AR and ensure timely resolution of internal audit findings

  • Act as an escalation point for complex AR issues, disputes, and high-risk accounts

Taxation

  • Prepare and submit Sales and Service Tax (SST) returns in compliance with local regulations

  • Assist with corporate tax matters

  • Liaise with external tax agents to ensure full compliance with statutory requirements

 Business Process

  • Actively participate in finance and cross-functional projects

  • Review and enhance internal controls; support implementation of new accounting standards and policies

  • Continuously improve and streamline finance processes to support business changes and growth

 Leadership

  • Provide guidance and support to the local accounts team, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and procedures

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Bachelor Degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent

  • Min 8 years of hands-on accounting experience with knowledge of accounting fundamentals and concepts.

  • Strong in technical skill in accounting and tax regulations

  • Strong excel skill

  • Willing to be hands-on in operational matters

  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to handle ambiguity and deliver within strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Has an interest in new software or process adoption

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm, Sat 9am – 1pm (Alter)
