Requirements
Minimum SPM, SKM, Certificate, or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
Candidates with basic experience in electrical maintenance, machine troubleshooting, or factory equipment maintenance will have an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, motors, switches, control panels, fuses, and other electrical components.
Able to perform basic preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on production machinery and equipment.
Responsible, safety-conscious, and willing to learn and follow maintenance and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
ISO Documentation & Records
Maintenance Execution: Complete monthly and annual planned preventive maintenance tasks for all factory machinery.
Schedule Updates: Update maintenance log sheets and status boards immediately after finishing a service task.
Equipment Checklists: Fill out daily and weekly inspection checklists for forklifts and electric pallet trucks.
Machine Logs: Record all details of machine repairs, component replacements, and servicing dates for ISO audits.
Machine & Tool Maintenance
Panel Saw Upkeep: Maintain the main panel saw by checking alignment, lubricating tracks, and keeping cuts accurate.
Small Machinery Care: Perform routine cleaning and basic servicing on table saws, chop saws, miter saws, drillers, Foam saw, and CNC.
Blade Management: Inspect, change, and replace dull or damaged saw blades, drill bits, and sanding pads.
Pneumatic & Air Piping: Fix air leaks in production floor piping and clean, oil, or repair pneumatic nail/staple guns.
Facility Systems: Service the central dust collector and air compressor, including draining water tanks and cleaning filters.
Material Handling Equipment Maintenance
Forklift Upkeep: Check fluid levels, hydraulics, and brakes daily to ensure safe forklift operation.
Electric Pallet Trucks: Inspect drive motors, check wheel wear, and test control handles for proper function.
Battery Care: Monitor battery charging stations, top up battery water, and check cable connections.
Electrical & Troubleshooting Duties
Electrical Diagnostics: Find and fix basic electrical faults, bad switches, worn wires, and control panel issues.
Motor Maintenance: Check and service electric motors, drive belts, and pulleys for smooth operation.
Component Replacement: Safely replace blown fuses, relays, capacitors, and damaged machine power cables.
Breakdown Resolution: Quickly repair mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic machine failures to reduce factory downtime.
Safety & Operations
LOTO Safety Procedures: Lock out and tag machine power sources before starting repairs to prevent accidental startup.
Guard Inspections: Test all safety guards and emergency stop buttons to ensure they work perfectly.
Dust Control: Clean wood dust out of electrical boxes and motor housings to prevent fire hazards.
Spare Parts Tracking: Keep track of stock for electrical spares, forklift parts, blades, oil, and fasteners.
Ad-hoc Duties: Perform any other operational tasks assigned by the HOD from time to time.
