Requirements
Diploma / Degree in a relevant field, with strong experience in production management and manufacturing operations.
Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing/production, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
Experience in fire alarm systems, fire protection equipment, or related industries will be an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of production planning, manpower planning, production control, quality management, and process improvement.
Experience in developing and implementing SOPs, work instructions, production processes, and KPI monitoring.
Good understanding of manufacturing processes, product testing, quality control, and troubleshooting.
Able to manage production teams, including operators, technicians, and production supervisors.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
Able to work closely with multiple departments and manage production priorities effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and production reporting systems.
Experience with ISO / Quality Management System is an advantage.
Knowledge of relevant fire alarm / fire protection product standards is an advantage.
Able to work independently, take ownership, and drive production performance.
Willing to work in Kapar, Klang.
Responsibilities
Plan, manage, and oversee the overall production operations to achieve productivity, quality, delivery, safety, and cost targets.
Develop and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production plans according to customer orders and business requirements.
Monitor production capacity, manpower, materials, machinery, and workflow to ensure production schedules are achieved.
Review and verify daily production output, production efficiency, downtime, and production performance.
Prioritize production activities and allocate manpower and resources to ensure on-time delivery.
Oversee the manufacturing and assembly of fire alarm devices and related products, including production, testing, inspection, and commissioning.
Ensure products are manufactured according to approved specifications, drawings, work instructions, SOPs, and quality standards.
Work closely with QC/QA and Engineering to identify and resolve product quality, technical, and production issues.
Develop, implement, review, and improve Production SOPs, work instructions, and production processes.
Monitor production costs, material usage, wastage, labour efficiency, and overall manufacturing expenses.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, productivity enhancement, cost reduction, and waste reduction.
Lead, train, coach, and supervise production staff to ensure proper performance, discipline, productivity, and compliance with company procedures.
Plan manpower requirements and coordinate staff deployment according to production needs.
Monitor and ensure proper maintenance of machinery, moulds, tools, equipment, and production facilities to minimize breakdowns and downtime.
Ensure compliance with quality, occupational safety, environmental, and company requirements throughout production operations.
Coordinate closely with QC/QA, Engineering, Warehouse, Purchasing, Sales, and other departments to ensure smooth production operations.
Prepare and review production reports, KPI reports, manpower reports, production performance, and other management reports.
Monitor and report key production KPIs, including output, productivity, efficiency, rejection rate, wastage, downtime, and on-time completion.
Lead investigations into production problems and implement corrective and preventive actions where required.
Ensure proper housekeeping and workplace organization within the production area.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management.
