Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of working experience in Interior Design.
Experience handling residential and commercial interior design projects.
Strong knowledge of space planning, design concepts, construction details, materials, and finishes.
Experience in managing, mentoring, or supervising Junior Interior Designers and Interns.
Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape/V-Ray, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
Strong presentation, communication, and client management skills.
Good leadership, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
Detail-oriented, creative, and passionate about delivering high-quality design solutions.
Possess own transport and willing to travel for site visits.
Responsibilities
Design & Project Management
Lead interior design projects from concept development, space planning, material selection, design presentation, detailed drawings, and project completion.
Develop creative and functional design solutions based on client requirements, budget, and project objectives.
Prepare design concepts, mood boards, material boards, 3D visualisations, and presentation materials.
Produce and review technical drawings, construction details, and design documentation.
Conduct client presentations and communicate design ideas effectively.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, design implementation, and quality of workmanship.
Identify design challenges and provide practical solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure all projects are completed within timeline, budget, and company quality standards.
Team Leadership & Supervision
Monitor and guide the performance of Junior Interior Designers and Interior Design Interns.
Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior team members to improve their design skills and project knowledge.
Assign tasks and monitor the progress of Junior ID and Intern ID to ensure deadlines are achieved.
Review and provide feedback on drawings, design concepts, presentations, and project deliverables prepared by junior team members.
Ensure the design team follows company standards, workflow, and project requirements.
Support the development and growth of junior team members through coaching and knowledge sharing.
Coordination & Quality Control
Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors, Project Teams, Client Account Managers, and other departments to ensure effective project coordination.
Review project documentation and drawings to ensure accuracy before submission.
Ensure design quality and consistency across all projects.
Stay updated with current design trends, materials, and industry practices.
