Job Description

We are looking for an HR Assistant to support daily human resource operations, including recruitment, payroll administration, employee relations, training, and HR documentation. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth HR processes and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.


Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.

  • 2–3 years of experience in Human Resources or Operations.

  • Good knowledge of Malaysian labour laws and statutory requirements.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Good organisational and administrative skills.

  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll administration, employee benefits, leave management, and offboarding.

  • Prepare payroll-related payments, employee welfare, rewards, and ensure timely employee exit clearance.

  • Enforce company policies, disciplinary procedures, and compliance with the Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, OSHA, and other relevant regulations.

  • Handle employee relations matters, including counselling, show cause letters, domestic inquiries, and disciplinary actions.

  • Maintain HR records, employee databases, and ensure confidentiality and accuracy of HR documentation.

  • Monitor attendance, support payroll processing, and manage leave and medical benefit administration.

  • Coordinate recruitment activities for non-supervisory positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.

  • Conduct orientation, HR briefings, service standards training, and employee development programmes.

  • Manage uniforms, lockers, employee deposits, and company asset recovery during employee separation.

  • Support store operations through manpower planning, operational communications, and peak period staffing.

  • Conduct stocktakes, locker inspections, and support loss prevention and workplace safety initiatives.

  • Prepare HR reports and perform other duties assigned by management.
