■ MUST REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3 years of safety officer experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Possess at least Yellow Book (Registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH) or at least a Safety & Health Coordinator certificate.

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering.

• Deep understanding of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994 and Factory and Machinery Act (FMA).

• Candidate from steel industry has advantage.

Compliance & Inspection

• Conduct daily site inspections to ensure all factory activities adhere to safety SOPs and legal requirements.

• Ensure all machinery and equipment are inspected and certified for safe use.

• Keep up-to-date with DOSH (JKKP) and JAS (DOE) regulations to ensure the plant remains in full compliance.

Risk Management

• Identify workplace hazards and perform HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control).

• Investigate any workplace accidents or "near-miss" incidents and prepare detailed reports with corrective action plans.

Safety Training & Culture

• Organize and conduct safety induction for new employees, contractors, and visitors.

• Lead the "Safety Committee" meetings and act as the main point of contact for safety-related concerns.

• Conduct regular emergency drills (fire, chemical spill) to ensure staff readiness.

Documentation & PPE

• Maintain accurate safety records, including accident statistics and safety equipment maintenance logs.

• Manage the procurement and proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all production staff.
