Procurement Executive / Purchasing Executive

About the Role

Resta Enterprise Sdn Bhd (ABARO Shoes) is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Executive / Purchasing Executive to join our growing team based in Klang, Selangor.

This is an excellent opportunity for both fresh graduates and experienced professionals who are passionate about procurement, sourcing, and supply chain management. You will play an important role in ensuring the timely procurement of products, materials, and services while maintaining the highest standards of quality, cost efficiency, and supplier performance.

This role involves regular communication with suppliers based in China. Therefore, the ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin (spoken and written) is required to perform the job effectively.

Working closely with the Procurement Manager and cross-functional teams, you will gain valuable exposure to local and international sourcing, supplier management, inventory planning, and end-to-end procurement operations within one of Malaysia's leading footwear brands.

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates with a positive attitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with 2–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, import/export, or supply chain management will have an added advantage.
• Good understanding of procurement processes, inventory management, and supplier coordination.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems or procurement software is an added advantage.
• Able to communicate effectively in Mandarin will be an added advantage for liaising with overseas suppliers.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Responsible, proactive, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• A team player with a positive attitude, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Exposure to international purchasing or the consumer products, retail, or manufacturing industry is an advantage but not essential.

Job summary

Drive cost savings through strategic sourcing. Develop your procurement career with a leading manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select local and overseas suppliers based on quality, pricing, delivery performance, reliability, and service.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve the best value for the company.
• Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders accurately and on time.
• Coordinate with suppliers to monitor production schedules, shipment status, and delivery timelines.
• Follow up closely on outstanding purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve supply issues proactively.
• Work closely with Product Development, Sales, Warehouse, Finance, and other departments to support business operations and inventory requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in replenishment planning to minimize stock shortages and excess inventory.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, quotations, contracts, and purchasing documentation.
• Verify supplier invoices and ensure deliveries comply with purchase orders and agreed specifications.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers while continuously evaluating supplier performance.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.
• Support new product sourcing, sample coordination, and supplier development initiatives.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical sourcing practices, and applicable regulations.
• Prepare procurement reports, purchasing analysis, and supplier performance evaluations as required.
