- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, ICAEW or equivalent) preferred  

- 15+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role (CFO / Deputy CFO)  

- Proven experience in debt restructuring, corporate turnaround, or Scheme of Arrangement  

- Strong exposure to public-listed company environment and regulatory requirements  

- Experience in construction, property, or asset-heavy industries; exposure to supply chain or hospitality sectors is an added advantage  

- Demonstrated experience in M&A, fundraising, and capital structuring  

- Strong stakeholder management skills (banks, investors, regulators, advisors)  

- Hands-on, resilient, and capable of operating in a high-pressure transformation environment

§ 1. Financial Restructuring & Corporate Exercises  

§ - Lead and execute debt restructuring initiatives, including engagement with lenders and stakeholders  

§ - Oversee and coordinate Scheme of Arrangement processes and related court, regulatory, and advisory workstreams  

§ - Support potential M&A, acquisitions, and strategic investments aligned with the Group’s repositioning  

§ - Manage relationships with advisors (legal, financial, restructuring specialists)

§ 2. Capital Management & Funding Strategy  

§ - Develop and implement capital restructuring strategies (equity, debt, hybrid instruments)  

§ - Strengthen cash flow management and liquidity planning across the Group  

§ - Establish funding structures to support new business lines, including supply chain platforms and hospitality assets  

§ - Engage with banks, financial institutions, and potential investors (local and regional)

§ 3. Group Financial Leadership & Governance  

§ - Oversee all finance functions including financial reporting, treasury, tax, audit, and compliance  

§ - Ensure compliance with Bursa Malaysia, regulatory, and statutory requirements  

§ - Strengthen internal controls, financial discipline, and governance frameworks  

§ - Lead Board reporting, financial disclosures, and investor communication

§ 4. Business Transformation & Expansion Support  

§ - Partner with business units to evaluate and structure new ventures in:  

§   - Building materials supply chain (including trading, distribution, and working capital optimization)  

§   - Hospitality investments and operations  

§ - Develop financial models, investment frameworks, and return benchmarks (IRR, NPV, ROCE)  

§ - Implement performance tracking systems for new and existing businesses  

§ 5. Strategic Partner to CEO & Board  

§ - Provide strategic insights on restructuring, growth, and capital allocation  

§ - Drive turnaround initiatives and performance improvement programs
