Job Description

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (SPM/'O' Level) is required.

  • No prior experience as a Clinical Assistant is necessary; we provide comprehensive training.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate and effective patient care.

  • Proficiency in accurately monitoring and recording vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure).

  • Experience or willingness to learn how to assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.

  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.

  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures is a plus.

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Commitment to patient confidentiality and adherence to healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities, personal hygiene, and mobility as needed.

  • Accurately measure and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, reporting any abnormalities to the physician or nurse.

  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and have the necessary information.

  • Assist physicians and nurses during examinations and procedures by providing instruments, supplies, and support.

  • Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring examination rooms are stocked and tidy.

  • Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures as directed, such as collecting specimens and preparing samples for analysis.

  • Educate patients and their families on basic health information, treatment plans, and follow-up care under the guidance of healthcare professionals.

  • Manage patient records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient information, vital signs, and care provided.

  • Respond to patient calls and requests promptly and courteously, addressing their needs and concerns.

  • Adhere to all safety, infection control, and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and a safe healthcare environment.
