Proven experience as a Product Designer with a focus on footwear and/or handbag design, demonstrating a strong portfolio of previous work or passionate about shoes/handbag design

Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Rhino, Blender, SolidWorks) for creating detailed product concepts and technical drawings.

Experience with prototyping techniques, including physical mock-ups and 3D printing, to test and refine designs.

Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for creating mood boards, technical packs, and presentation materials.

Demonstrated ability in material sourcing, understanding the properties and applications of various leathers, textiles, and hardware relevant to footwear and handbags.

Strong understanding of trend forecasting within the fashion industry, with the ability to translate emerging trends into commercially viable product designs.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and sales.

A Diploma in Product Design, Fashion Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.

Conceptualize and design innovative and commercially viable footwear and handbag collections, aligning with brand aesthetics, market trends, and target customer profiles.

Develop detailed product designs, including sketches, technical drawings (tech packs), and 3D models, utilizing Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design software.

Collaborate closely with the product development team, manufacturers, and material suppliers to ensure designs are feasible for production, meet quality standards, and adhere to cost targets.

Conduct thorough market research and trend forecasting to identify emerging styles, materials, and technologies in the footwear and handbag industry, translating insights into compelling product concepts.

Oversee the prototyping process, providing feedback and making necessary design revisions to ensure the final product accurately reflects the initial design vision.

Source and select appropriate materials, hardware, and components, considering factors such as durability, aesthetics, cost, and sustainability.

Present design concepts and final product designs to stakeholders, effectively communicating the rationale and vision behind each collection.
