                • Leading and coaching the squads. This will include detailed session planning, land and swim programs.
                • Assist the Head Coach with the Performance Squad training when necessary
                • Assist with the planning and running of competitive swim meets, at school, in other locations in Singapore or abroad
                • A commitment to training during school holidays when necessary
                • Assist swim teachers during PHE swim lessons

                • Assist with house keeping - equipment room and etc
                • Assist head coach with meets entering via Team Unify and Team Manager

                • A TYPICAL DAY Today I arrived early to coach an early morning squad at 5:45am. Due to the nature of the swimming team I have to be present if we have an early morning squad training for our learners. Our Aquatic team is flexible, energetic and very friendly, so we enjoy our early starts. There is a 40 minute downtime between squad training and curriculum lessons in the morning. I take that time to catch up with the Aquatic team and any urgent emails concerning the day. Our learners have curriculum lessons from 8:20am to 3:05pm. I check all the teachers’ calendars and help to set up for lessons and prepare to assist them. In between lessons I reply to emails, help to plan lessons, and other housekeeping matters. This weekend the Nexus Senior Squad is participating in a swim competition, and we will be there all day. I go over all the details to make sure that all the parents have been informed, we have confirmation from all the swimmers, and the buses have been booked. I assist in teaching a few more lessons after lunch. I finish my day at 4:30pm, but tomorrow I am teaching the afternoon squad, so I will be starting work a little bit later and finishing at 5:30pm. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
                • A relevant degree plus teaching qualification (or equivalent)
                • Higher degree or recognised professional qualification (preferred)
                • Evidence of continued relevant professional development
                • Experience in teaching learners with diverse needs
                • Experience in an international school environment (preferred)
                • Relevant curriculum experience
                • Minimum FINA Level 2 Coach/UKCC Level 2 certified (or International equivalent) with a minimum of 2 year coaching experience and prior experience in squad planning ideally in a school environment
                • Experience with google suite platforms, ACTIVE Hy-Tek' Swim Software and Team Unify
                • Candidate who has experience and knowledge of strength conditioning for swimmers would be an advantage.
