My Client:

We are partnering with a leading AI technology company expanding its core engineering team. The team is looking for exceptional engineers to build the runtime and control systems behind production AI Agents, tackling complex challenges in planning, tool execution, context management, and reliability.

This opportunity offers substantial technical ownership and highly competitive compensation for engineers with strong fundamentals and a proven ability to deliver complex systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and build core Agent components covering context, memory, model and tool orchestration, task planning, and execution.
• Develop reusable tools and MCP integrations to support reliable multi-step workflows.
• Independently drive technical decisions, implementation, rollout, and ongoing improvements.
• Improve task success rates, reliability, latency, and cost through context engineering, retrieval, prompt design, and system architecture.
• Build reproducible evaluations, regression tests, and end-to-end observability, using production failures to guide improvements.
• Work with product, research, infrastructure, and security teams to define execution boundaries and maintain engineering quality.

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated ability, with strong software engineering and computer systems foundations.
• Proven ownership of complex systems or critical components, from design through production delivery.
• Strong backend or distributed systems experience, including concurrency, task queues, persistence, idempotency, and failure recovery.
• Ability to solve ambiguous problems, explain architectural trade-offs, and deliver maintainable, testable systems.
• Effective use of AI tools for research, coding, and validation, supported by independent technical judgment.

Nice to Have:

• Production experience with Agent runtimes, multi-step workflows, browser automation, task scheduling, CI runners, or code execution systems.
• Deep experience in context engineering, long-term memory, retrieval, model routing, MCP, multi-agent systems, or Agent evaluation.
• Experience with sandboxing, execution isolation, multi-tenancy, least privilege, prompt-injection defenses, or auditing.
• Open-source contributions, technical writing, or substantial proprietary engineering work. Engineers with founding or early-stage startup experience are welcome.
