Factory Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall daily operations of the food production factory to ensure smooth, efficient, and timely production.
• Plan and manage production activities according to customer orders, production schedules, and business requirements.
• Monitor production output, productivity, manpower utilisation, and operating costs.
• Ensure all production processes comply with company standards, food safety requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
• Lead and manage Production, Warehouse, Maintenance, and other factory-related teams.
• Plan manpower requirements, work schedules, training, and performance management.
• Monitor raw material usage, production yields, wastage, and inventory levels.
• Work closely with the QA/QC team to maintain consistent product quality and food safety standards.
• Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Logistics, and other departments to ensure production and delivery requirements are met.
• Identify production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve efficiency and reduce wastage.
• Ensure machinery, equipment, facilities, and production areas are properly maintained and operational.
• Establish and monitor SOPs, work instructions, hygiene practices, and workplace safety procedures.
• Prepare and review production reports, factory KPIs, and operational performance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, cost efficiency, and overall factory performance.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Handle audits, inspections, and other factory-related matters.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in factory/production management, preferably within the food manufacturing or food production industry.
• Strong knowledge of food production processes, food safety, quality control, and factory operations.
• Experience managing production teams and factory manpower.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and organisational skills.
• Good knowledge of production planning, inventory control, cost management, and continuous improvement.
• Familiar with relevant food safety and manufacturing standards such as GMP, HACCP, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Mandarin-speaking ability is an advantage for communication with Mandarin-speaking customers, suppliers, or business partners.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple operational priorities.
• Willing to work according to production requirements, including weekends or shifts when necessary.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
