Key Responsibilities:
Provide full-time site supervision and inspection of RC works, driven piling, foundation works, structural steel erection, and associated civil engineering activities.
Monitor daily construction activities and ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, construction methodologies, specifications, Consultants’ instructions, and contractual requirements.
Coordinate closely with the Consultants, Contractors, QP, Project Management Team, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues, design discrepancies, site constraints, and interface matters.
Witness and monitor relevant testing and inspection activities, including pile integrity tests, concrete testing, structural inspections, material inspections, and other required quality control tests.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records, inspection reports, RFIs, test reports, approved drawings, method statements, as-built documentation, and other project records.
Monitor construction progress, workmanship, housekeeping, and site safety, and promptly highlight delays, defects, non-conformities, safety concerns, and construction risks to the Project Team.
Attend and participate in site meetings, technical coordination meetings, inspections, testing, and other project-related activities.
Verify contractors’ progress claims, completed works, delivered materials, and site measurements against actual progress and approved contractual requirements.
Provide regular site progress updates, inspection reports, and technical feedback to the QP, Project Management Team, and Consultants.
Assist in monitoring the project schedule and coordinate with relevant parties to ensure construction activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the approved programme.
Perform other site supervision and technical duties as assigned by the QP, Resident Engineer, Project Manager, or Consultant.
Requirements:
Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent recognized qualification.
Minimum 5 years of relevant site experience in Civil & Structural works, with experience in RC construction, Bored Pile, driven piling, structural steel erection, Factory, residential, commercial, or major building projects.
Possess Accredited Resident Technical Officer (RTO) certification recognized by IES and/or ACES.
Strong knowledge of civil and structural construction practices, reinforced concrete works, driven piling, foundation works, structural steel erection, and QA/QC procedures.
Familiar with Singapore statutory requirements, authority regulations, relevant codes of practice, project specifications, and construction standards.
Experience in site inspection, testing, quality control, technical documentation, and contractor coordination.
Strong problem-solving, coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Consultants, Contractors, QPs, Engineers, and multidisciplinary project teams in a fast-paced construction environment.
Willing to work shift schedules, weekends, or public holidays when required by project needs.
Responsible, proactive, and able to work independently with strong attention to quality, safety, and project requirements.
