Job Summary

The Mechanical Engineer (EDM) is responsible for the design, development, testing, and validation of mechanical systems for Electrical Discharge Machines (EDM). This role supports Makino Asia's R&D objectives by delivering reliable, high-performance, and safe mechanical designs that meet product quality, regulatory, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and systems for Electrical Discharge Machines to meet performance and safety standards
• Develop and execute testing protocols to validate mechanical designs against quality and regulatory requirements
• Analyze test data to identify design improvements and ensure product reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical and software systems
• Document design processes, test results, and compliance evidence to support regulatory submissions and customer requirements
• Apply problem-solving skills to troubleshoot mechanical issues during prototype development and production stages
• Ensure mechanical designs comply with applicable safety and industry regulations
