We are looking for an outstanding Research Fellow with a strong background in geomodelling, geophysical and geotechnical investigation, geomechanical engineering, and machine learning.

You will be expected to work effectively on a geophysical/geomechanical project, to perform independent and collaborative research to meet the project objectives, and to publish high-quality journal papers to promote the international reputation of the school and the University.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct project related research on geophysical/geomechanical investigation, geomodelling, data analytics, and machine learning.
• Responsible for processing and analyzing geophysical/geomechanical data and build a 3D geological model.
• The position involves conducting research, supervising undergraduate students, and writing project reports and scientific articles.
  
  

Job Requirements

• PhD qualification degree in Geophysics, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or related field from a recognized university
• Strong background in 3D geomodelling development
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Expertise in geophysics, geotechnics and geomechanics
• Expertise in big data analytics
• Publication track record is an advantage
• Ability to work independently and develop solutions under strict timelines
