Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods according to established quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct daily inspection and record quality results accurately.
- Inspect finished goods at Production and Store areas to ensure products meet the required standards.
- Identify, record, and report defects, non-conformities, and quality issues.
- Segregate and identify non-conforming products to prevent unintended use or shipment.
- Conduct visual inspections, measurements, and other required quality checks.
- Ensure inspection equipment and measuring tools are properly used and maintained.
- Verify product quality against approved specifications, samples, drawings, or work instructions where applicable.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, checklists, and quality documentation.
- Immediately highlight quality concerns to the QA/QC Supervisor and relevant Production personnel.
Quality Issue & Corrective Action:
- Liaise with the QA team when quality issues or non-conformities are identified.
- Assist in investigating the cause of product defects and recurring quality problems.
- Follow up on corrective and preventive actions to ensure quality issues are properly addressed.
- Assist in checking products related to customer complaints and returned goods.
- Support the review and follow-up of Corrective and Preventive Action Reports (CPAR).
- Monitor corrective actions and report outstanding quality issues to the relevant personnel.
Teamwork & Quality Improvement:
- Work closely with Production to ensure quality requirements are understood and consistently followed.
- Assist QA in communicating QA/QC requirements, procedures, and quality standards to relevant workstations.
- Highlight recurring defects and recommend improvement opportunities.
- Participate in quality improvement and defect-prevention activities.
- Maintain good housekeeping and ensure the inspection area is clean and organized.
- Support other QA/QC activities and projects as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
- Carry out quality-related duties for both Fepa Sdn Bhd and Carbo Schroder Sdn Bhd.
Requirements:
- Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Quality Control, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in QC, Quality Inspection, QA/QC, or manufacturing is an advantage.
- Fresh graduates with a strong interest in Quality Control are encouraged to apply.
- Good attention to detail with the ability to identify product defects accurately.
- Able to understand and follow work instructions, specifications, and quality procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Responsible, disciplined, and proactive.
- Willing to learn and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
