A Building Construction General Foreman

. They interpret technical drawings, manage material resources, and lead workers to ensure adherence to construction plans, reporting progress to project managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Supervision & Coordination: Direct day-to-day site operations, including managing subcontractors and multiple work crews to ensure efficient productivity.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce site safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, local regulations), conduct toolbox briefings, and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Planning & Scheduling: Implement project schedules, determine the sequence of work, and ensure timely completion of milestones.
• Quality Control: Inspect work to ensure compliance with blueprints, specifications, and quality standards.
• Resource Management: Manage materials, tools, and equipment, including tracking inventory and minimizing waste.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Resolve on-site technical problems and liaise with engineers or consultants.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience as a construction foreman or similar supervisory role.
• Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and technical specifications.
• Leadership: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Physical Ability: Capability to work in varied weather conditions and manage physically demanding, long-hour, or shift-based work.
• Safety Certifications: Relevant safety certifications (e.g., BCSS in Singapore) are often required.
