Drawing Drafter

Location: Bayan Lepas, Penang
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

We are looking for a Drawing Drafter to support our Design and Production teams in handling mechanical drawings, BOMs, documentation, and related design activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Register and maintain orders and RFQs in the Oracle system through the PLM database.
• Liaise with the PLM team on database-related matters and support internal departments with related inquiries.
• Support the Design and Production teams with drawing and documentation activities.
• Create and update mechanical drawings based on engineering requirements and simulations.
• Prepare assembly illustrations and Bills of Materials (BOM) for production and design purposes.
• Maintain drawing and BOM-related data in the relevant systems.
• Prepare technical documents and shipment-related documentation for customers.
• Prepare Purchase Requisitions (PR) for Design Department requirements.
• Prepare monthly consignment lists and related documentation.

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of mechanical drawings, drafting, and basic design concepts.
• Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software, such as AutoCAD, CADRA, NX, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of 2D CAD is preferred, while 3D CAD experience will be an added advantage.
• Able to work independently and manage assigned tasks effectively.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and responsible.
• Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
